8. OCA “Sketchcrawl” at YSP

A good day sketching outdoors with other OCA students. Sketching outdoors is something I’ve done little of and I’ve resolved to do more.

Inspired by a book of Henry Moore drawings I’m currently reading, I intended before the day began to introduce some colour and use a combination of materials. To some degree this was successful but I learned than some combinations didn’t give me the desired results, e.g. graphite stick over wax crayon. The sketch I’m most pleased with is the one that took me the least time – perhaps there’s a lesson there.
