Reviewing my work from this and the previous exercise, I can see that I have relied less on line to outline objects and by relying more on tone and shadow a more solid, 3D effect has resulted. It took some concentration to distinguish the light from a primary source and secondary reflected light, not helped by the fact that the room I used had a great deal of the latter, but once I got used to it I managed OK. Moving forward I will be more confident of depicting form after a careful study of tone.
